Jakarta (ANTARA) – Lagu Billie Eilish “Birds Of A Feather” dari album “Hit Me Hard and Soft” menempati peringkat tiga dalam daftar 10 lagu global teratas paling banyak didengarkan pengguna platform Spotify selama setahun atau Spotify Wrapped Desember 2024.

Lagu tersebut melampaui popularitas “Lunch”, single utama album “Hit Me Hard and Soft”, dengan jumlah pemutaran melebihi 1,5 miliar kali sejak dirilis pada 17 Mei 2024. Lagu bertemakan percintaan itu memberikan interpretasi modern terhadap pepatah birds of a feather flock together yang menunjukkan bahwa jiwa yang sama akan saling menemukan satu sama lain.

Kepopuleran membuat lagu itu muncul pada cuplikan musim ke-3 serial Netflix “Heartstopper”. Pada aplikasi TikTok pun cuplikan lagu itu kerap muncul sebagai latar suara video pengguna tentang situasi pahit maupun manis dari kisah romansa.
