Jakarta (ANTARA) – Lagu “Nice Guys Finish Last” ciptaan Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool, dan Mike Dirnt dari grup musik punk rock Amerika Serikat Green Day diluncurkan sebagai trek satu dalam album Green Day yang kelima bertajuk “Nimrod” pada Oktober 1997.
Lagu “Nice Guys Finish Last” oleh Green Day bercerita tentang seseorang yang kebaikannya tidak dihargai oleh orang lain.
Lagu rock bertempo cepat dan energik itu dijadikan musik latar film olahraga sepak bola Amerika Serikat pada tahun 1999, “Varsity Blues”.
Video musik untuk lagu “Nice Guys Finish Last” diluncurkan ulang oleh kanal Youtube Green Day dengan kualitas 4K sebagai edisi ulang tahun ke-25 album Nimrod bertajuk “Nimrod XXV”. Video tersebut telah memperoleh lebih dari 1,1 juta kali penayangan sejak rilis pada 27 Januari 2023.
