Mizon Returning Starfish Cream Review

The product that I got really excited about from my November Beauty Box is Mizon Returning Starfish Cream.
 
 
I can feel that the box screamed to me when I first saw it.. Hahhaa.. Seriously the box is so pretty, with gold colour that reflects light and the star pattern is so unique, don’t you agree? I searched for this product online and what I saw is different packaging. Maybe this one is the newest packaging? And of course I prefer this design ^^
 
Mizon’s Returning Starfish Cream is a unique moisturizer formulated with 70% starfish extract to actively hydrate, regenerate, and rejuvenate skin, leaving it optimally moisturized, firm, and beautifully radiant. The starfish cream also fights wrinkles/blemishes, and protects the skin from harmful environmental factors. Ideal for all skin types. Size: 60ml
 
 
 
 
 
 
So yeah this is the jar. The colour is the same with the box and it looks like high-end product because of the gold colour *.*
 
The spatula is included to scoop out the product.
 
 
The starfish cream have 5 functions: for wrinkle care, whitening, volume, moisturizing and renew.
 
When I opened the lid, there is a separator that is quite common for skincare products. 
 
And some products are left on the separator so I use that first on my first few days of using this cream. :3
 
For the texture, it’s something I’ve never seen before. It’s not cream for sure, but more like gel with white milk colour. But to say that it has a gel texture is quite strange too since most of gel texture products have transparent colour and it’s too thick to be categorized as gel :O
 
I have forgot most of my Biology lesson during school so I had to find out more about starfish specialty. They won’t say it’s a starfish cream without a reason, right? :p
 
It turns out that starfish has an ability to regenerate its lost arms. Sea stars house most of their vital organs in their arms, so some can even regenerate an entirely new sea star from just one arm and a portion of the star’s central disc. It won’t happen too quickly, though. It takes about a year for an arm to grow back. (source: marinelife).

Okay I don’t understand the Hangeul but at least I think I understand the pictures. It show the cream in the jar. When you dip your hand inside the cream, it will reshape to it’s original form after 30 seconds. ^^
 
 
As I said before that the texture is quite thick, unlike gel. It’s hard to scoop out the product directly from the jar. Because I took it with me when I slept at my aunt’s house so from moving around, the cream is left at the separator so I just took it from the separator. For scooping out the product from the jar, I think it’s best to use the spatula provided. Actually I’m quite a lazy person so I rarely use spatula but I always have my hand clean first before my skin care routine XD
 
Don’t take out too much product. As you can see from the above photo, I take out too much product that made it hard to spread ._. It’s better to put the cream at several spot on your face then start massaging it. 
 
It has a sweet scent that I like so much. The scent is so good that makes me happy to smell it. Hahahaha.. I can say that the scent is quite strong but it’s not a problem for me since I like scented product as long as I can handle the scent :p Definitely one of the best scent out of all face cream that I’ve tried. ✿
The very first thing I recognized after applying the cream on my skin is it makes my face so dewy *.*
You can see from picture above too that my hand is so shiny.
 
I think that’s why Mizon gives tip to mix the cream with BB Cream. I haven’t tried it though so I can’t give any comment about this tip. ^^
 
This cream really moisturizes my face and give a bit cooling feeling for a while after application. It turns out to be a bit sticky on my face, that’s why I don’t use it in the morning. I don’t experience break out while using this cream. And I can feel that my face is getting better these two weeks: no break out, redness and acne scars slightly reduce. I can’t say that it’s all because of Mizon Returning Starfish Cream because I’m using all skincare products from BNT News November Beauty Box during these weeks but I know that this cream is one of the main reason why my skin is getting better and better. So happy :’)
 
 
I really love this product! The famous product from Mizon that I knew all this time is just from the snail line, but now the Returning Starfish Cream is my favourite too and I’m sure that I will repurchase it later! The price is expensive (for me): KRW28,000 but if it’s worth it, then why not? ^^
I recommend this cream for you too, whether you have oily or dry skin, I think it’s moisturizing enough! A little goes a long way for this cream so I don’t know when will I finish it. :3

The packaging is so beautiful, I agreed that when you said it looks like high end product because of the packaging *0* and the revert back cream texture kinda remind me with the Laneige firming sleeping pack because it has the same feature like this Mizon's cream hahaha~ I wonder how much starfish got hurt to make this one of cream everyday 🙁 since the starfish extract 70%? 🙁

    about the starfish getting hurt case, I don't really know because the website is in Korean >.<
    I hope that they find a way to get the extract without killing them and I believe that's what happen 🙂
