Etude House Drawing Show Dot Liner Review

Hello ladies.. How are you? Hope you are doing fine. 🙂

I got this eyeliner from Yessy on our Christmas Swap. I was so excited when I got it. It’d been on my wishlist but not so eager to buy it but thanx to Yessy I can use it now ^^

Drawing Show Dot Liner is part of Etude House Drawing Show’s collection. Besides dot liner, there are also cream liner, creamy pencil, and brush liner.

Description:
Brush pen eyeliner conveniently produces smooth, clean lines for stark definition.

Directions:
1. Use brush to trace lines along upper and lower eye lines.
2. For stronger look, trace thick lines along upper and lower eye lines in one motion.

Ingredients:
Water, Black 2, Acrylates Copolymer, Glycerin, Laureth-21, Prophanediol, Alcohol Denat, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Arginine,Disodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Methylparaben

Net Weight:
0.9g (0.03oz)
It comes in a black matte colour packaging with the product name in deep purple pink colour. The cap is so tight, too tight that I always need a few seconds to open it -__-.

Here is the uniqueness of the eyeliner: the brush that is divided into three parts and the tips look like dots. I knew this kind of eyeliner from Holika Holika first, long before Etude has this one. The concept is pretty unique, assume that the creator wants to make it easier for beginner to draw line.

However because I never used this type of eyeliner and already used to usual eyeliner brush, the drawing part becomes a bit tricky for me. I can’t draw as straight as I want because of the three dots brush, it tends to out of the line that I want. Note that I draw the line on the condition that my eyes are open. But when I try to draw line when my eyes are closed, turns out that I don’t find the same difficulties like before. So I think it’s better to use on closed eyes. (*゚▽゚)ノ

One thing that I love from the eyeliner is the solid black colour! It’s really black even just with one application  ♥♥♥.

Okay the color is really black BUT after I poured water to it then rubbed it several times, the result is what you can see on pic above. (`Δ´)It’s not waterproof and smudgeproof. 🙁 And after several hours, the line on my eyes is not complete anymore. Some part of it just faded away, leaving me ugly eyes 😐

Here is how it look on my eyes:
Quite thick line

Thin line
I won’t make point about what I like and what I don’t like about this eyeliner since what I like about it is just one thing: the deep black colour. Too bad that the quality is not that good, with such a unique brush, I wish they would improve the quality in the future: to be waterproof and smudgeproof and long lasting.

What do you think?
